Where consultations are never rushed. Where honesty matters more than upselling. Where luxury is measured by how you’re treated, not just how the salon looks. Because when you truly feel comfortable, confidence naturally follows.
My own journey into hairdressing began over 25 years ago at just 14 years old. School wasn’t where I felt I belonged, but the moment I stepped into a salon, I knew I’d found my place. I started my apprenticeship in a small local salon where I learnt the foundations of the craft. Back then, perms were everywhere, and every day was an opportunity to learn something new. Wanting to challenge myself even further, I joined a larger education-focused salon where training and continual learning were part of everyday life. I completed my apprenticeship there before progressing into leadership as Second in Charge and eventually Head Trainer, mentoring apprentices and helping shape the next generation of hairdressers.
As life changed, so did my career. I returned to a boutique salon closer to home before taking a leap of faith and starting my own mobile hair business specialising in weddings and special events throughout Sydney. For eight incredible years I had the privilege of being trusted with one of the most important mornings in a person’s life. Those years taught me that hair is never just hair—it’s confidence, excitement, celebration and memories that last forever.
Eventually our family made the decision to leave Sydney and begin a new chapter on the Gold Coast. Becoming a mum to our beautiful daughter, Lily. After taking time to enjoy those precious early years, I found myself back doing what I’ve always loved: helping people feel their absolute best.
Most recently, I was working at Hair & Soul when an unexpected opportunity presented itself. Instead of simply continuing my career in someone else’s salon, I took a leap and created something that had been quietly growing in my heart for years. That’s how Haus of Hair Expertease was born.
Today, Haus of Hair Expertease is more than just a salon. It’s a place where experience meets creativity, where every client is welcomed like family, and where beautiful hair is created with care, honesty and attention to detail.
